“Bill came to the house for a late service call in Lake Wylie. Had an issue with the heat not working and coming home from a long day at work….the house was freezing. We called everywhere and was unable to get anyone to pick up the phone. Bill was working late on book work and answered. We never used Air Services before, but we will be forever customers now. “Back in August our a.c. failed. And it always seems to happen on a really hot Sunday. In just a couple of hours, Bill from Aire Serve-Clover arrived and began . Donning dust covers on his work boots,he made the diagnosis in just a few minutes. Bill got the needed part from Lenox, and installed it the next day. Case closed? Not quite. When we had our first really cold night I turned on the heat for the first time since late April. After running it for a couple of hours I noticed that cool air was coming out instead of heat. To make the long story short, we couldn’t get heat. Bill came back immediately, and discovered that Lenox had sold him the wrong part. The next day, Bill returned with the needed part, and was puzzled by the instructions that came with it. Turns out there was a mistake on the schematic chart, which had to be solved via phone, which held him up for over an hour due to the Lenox help line being so slow. The part was installed, and despite his being inconvenienced and financially hurt by the Lenox Corp., Bill managed to keep his professional, optimistic demeanor. Our heating unit went out on a Saturday night, so over the next few days I got quotes from 5 different HVAC companies and Air Services of the Carolinas had the best price and warranty. Plus I could tell that it was more than just the money for Bill, the owner, he was here to make a difference. Bill came out on Monday evening around 5pm and explained everything to me about the different kinds of systems. With temperatures set to reach record lows, I knew we had to do something pretty quick. So I asked Bill when he could put in the system if we were to go with their company… he kindly said that since we had a 1 year old little girl and a baby boy on the way that he would make it a priority and they could be here at 9:30 Tuesday morning. So within 24 hours of meeting Bill, he had a whole new Amana HVAC system installed and running. What a blessing!
